Travel essentials
We have not yet verified Uganda entry and visa rules against an official source, so we do not publish them. Rules vary by passport and change; confirm with the Ugandan authorities before planning.

Health
Health requirements to be confirmed with an official source. See a travel medicine clinic before booking.
Passport
Minimum passport validity to be confirmed. As a prudent rule, travel with validity to spare and free pages.
To confirm (not published as fact):
- Visa and entry rules by passport, including the electronic visa and the East Africa single visa: to confirm with an official Ugandan source.
- Health requirements, including vaccination demanded on entry and recommended prophylaxis: to confirm with an official source.
- Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking permits: limited in number, allocated well in advance and expensive. To confirm with the wildlife authority before publishing any price or availability.
